Watchung ridge terrain and large lots
Warren Township covers about 20 square miles in Somerset County, stretching across the First and Second Watchung Mountain ridges with Washington Valley running between them. The terrain creates significant elevation changes on many properties, and the volcanic basalt bedrock on the ridges makes excavation more challenging than on flatter ground. Sultan Services has the equipment to work in these conditions, including excavators and loaders that can handle rocky terrain.
Warren saw steady residential growth from the 1960s onward, with another significant wave after I-78 opened fully in 1986. The typical Warren property sits on about 1.5 acres with a colonial or split level home surrounded by mature landscaping that has been in place for decades.
