Paver Repair & Restoration

Paver repair, releveling, cleaning, joint resanding, and sealing for patios, walkways, and driveways that need to be fixed or restored.

How paver repair and restoration works

Sultan Services fixes and restores paver patios, walkways, and driveways for properties in Hillsborough and throughout Central New Jersey. Whether the problem is sunken pavers, shifting edges, weeds growing through the joints, or a surface that just looks worn out, the work focuses on finding the root cause and fixing it properly. That can mean resetting pavers, correcting the base, replacing broken units, resanding joints with polymeric sand, or doing a full clean and seal to bring the surface back to life.

Common paver problems we fix

Most repair calls come from a few common issues: pavers that have sunk or heaved creating an uneven surface, edges that are shifting or spreading apart, weeds and grass growing through joints where the polymeric sand has washed out, ant hills pushing sand out of joints, water pooling instead of draining, and staining from rust, oil, or leaf tannin.

These problems usually trace back to base failure in a specific area, missing or damaged edge restraint, or polymeric sand that was never installed correctly. Sultan Services identifies the cause, fixes it at the source, and restores the surface so the problem does not come back.

The repair process

Repair starts with an assessment of the affected area, the base condition underneath, and how drainage is performing. Pavers in the problem zone are carefully lifted so the base can be corrected. That usually means adding or regrading crushed stone, recompacting, and releveling the sand bed before setting the pavers back in place.

Broken or cracked pavers are replaced with matching units when available. Edge restraint is installed or repaired where needed. Joints are filled with fresh polymeric sand and activated with water. The result is a surface that feels solid, drains correctly, and looks clean again.
