Farmland turned subdivision
Whitehouse Station is a community within Readington Township in Hunterdon County. The broader township covers nearly 48 square miles of rolling hills, active farmland, and wooded parcels at the foot of Cushetunk Mountain. Properties here tend to be on generous lots, and the character is distinctly more rural than the Somerset County towns closer to our base.
The soils in this area are primarily loamy over weathered shale, with a fragipan layer that can create seasonal drainage issues. Properties on former farmland often have good topsoil but compacted subsoil that holds water. Our crew factors these soil conditions into every project plan, especially for drainage, grading, and planting.
